Vilnius Valleys Association -

unites science, studies and business leaders of Vilnius

Sunrise and Santara are two Vilnius valleys, where the capital’s science, studies, and business potential is concentrated. There operate dozens of innovative companies, laboratories, and science centers with hundreds of researchers and entrepreneurs, and study thousands of students.

The valleys are designed to strengthen the synergy of science, studies, and business, which is necessary to achieve the country’s breakthrough in innovation, economic growth, competitiveness, and strengthen the image of Lithuania as a country of talents. Innovations significant for Lithuania and the world are being created in Vilnius Valleys!

VILNIUS VALLEYS

Sunrise Valley is a nucleus of digital, laser and light technologies, nano, biotechnologies, life sciences, and smart engineering. Innovations from information technology solutions to gene-editing tools developed in the valley are making the capital and Lithuania famous all over the world.

Most of the Sunrise Valley stretches in Antakalnis district. The valley includes the faculties of Vilnius University and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, the Sunrise Valley Science and Technology Park with the CERN business incubator, the Center for Physical and Technological Sciences, the Scientific Information and Communication Center (MKIC), the VU Life Sciences Center with a biotechnology business incubator, the laser research center “Naglis”, the VGTU Civil Engineering Science Center and the Science and Technology Park of the Institute of Physics located in the southern part of Vilnius.

Santaros slėnis – Vilniaus gyvybės mokslų, biomedicinos, biotechnologijų ir informacinių technologijų branduolys. Slėnyje bendradarbiaujant mokslui ir verslui gimsta naujų vaistų sudedamosios dalys, kuriami inovatyvūs gydymo metodai ir informacinių technologijų, fotonikos, atsinaujinančios energetikos ir kiti sprendimai.

Santaros slėnis išsidėstęs Visorių-Santariškių rajone. Slėnyje veikia Visorių informacinių technologijų parkas, Inovatyvios medicinos centras, VU Duomenų mokslo ir skaitmeninių technologijų institutas, VU ligoninės Santaros klinikos, Gamtos tyrimų centras, Nacionalinis vežio institutas bei eilė technologinių įmonių: Biotechpharma, MOOG, BOD Group, Altechna, Teva Baltics, Baltic Amadeus, VTEX ir kt. 2009 m. verslo plėtros projektams Santaros slėnyje suteiktas valstybės svarbaus ekonominio projekto statusas.
